I ended up drawing this are looking around Google for different poses. I want to practice, because I think using ballet poses would be a really good way to work on my anatomy and such and maybe move out of my overall anime style into some less... anime-ish. I do drawing as a hobby, so its not that serious. But would be nice, y'know?
Anyhow, this was referanced off a picture of a couple dancing a pas de deux. I did try drawing the man, but he didn't turn out right, so I just kept Scarlett. (Though her hair fails by epic proportions. Its not... uhm... flowy enough I guess?)
Still: I like hwo her hands turned out; hands are hard for me. Though her lower leg looks lots shorter than her top leg; to me at least. But meh - enjoy.
Ur right with the leg, but it's not that bad. I like the hands, have my difficulties with em, too ^^ If the hair don't want to be more flowy, just make it a bun. That's a lot more convenient anyway The pose is fine, but I think she will fall... ^^ All in all a good pic

Well, traditionally, because she's meant to be dancing a pas de deux, she'd have a partner. But he wasn't co-operating. So she's in a pas de deux pose on her own... but I still think it kind of works.
I suppose you're right about the hair. At the time I just wanted to try something different. C:

This is pretty. I actually like the hair! It's got a sort of 'undone' look going on, which is nice. I also like the hands, and the arms too. Very graceful looking. Her leotard is pretty, and I like the contrasting skirt...thingy? I don't know the name for it.
You're right about the lower leg, but it's not terrible, and I think ballet poses would be a good way to work on your anatomy, although I really like your anime-ish style!
Yay ballet poses!! ^_^ I doodles some after watching Princess Tutu the first time... but I just thought they looked lame so never did anything with them!
Just like the scene in Princess Tutu! : D [Hope that isn't a spoiler? If so, please feel free to hide this comment xD;] She looks so elegant~! The higher leg does look longer, however I didn't actually notice until you pointed it out and I looked up check xD! It looked fine at first glance
Haha, nah its not a spoiler. Gosh I love that anime. <3 It tempts me into wanting take up ballet... (that and ballet is meant to be really good for your posture, right?)
^^ Thanks much. I probably shouldn't have mentioned the leg thing, darn my big mouth! It didn't notice the difference myself until I was colouring it. X_X

Ballet poses are lovely, but hard to do without referances. Google image search is a great help though. <3 Try drawing more, they're good to draw I find, different from any normal pose you might (or I might draw. :]

Hmm... I didn't really think about that idea with her hair, but I guess it does kind of work. ^^ I was really chuffed with how the hands turned out as sometimes I can draw hands without a problem and then other times I really struggle. ^^ I like the leotard, I've seen ballerinas wearing them in videos and such, I thought it was quite striking.
Thanks for your comment, feedback is always appriciated.
